Morrissey's Residency in 2016

The Rocket Soul Choir had such a blast last night at Morrissey’s Irish Pub. Thank you so much to everybody that came out, whooped it up, took video and pictures, danced and sang along - We could never really properly share our gratitude at your support.

The social media efforts that some of you made far exceeded what we could have done ourselves - We were so busy with rehearsals and set planning that we just didn’t get around to promoting the way we’d envisioned. The crowd that showed up last night was more down to your efforts than ours - again, we’re humbled.

Kari Arnett nailed it, right? Holy smokes, she was good. So good in fact, I know she’s in talks with Morrissey’s to perform some shows there in the future.

As are we… We’re going to be added to the Morrissey’s monthly rotation in 2016. We’re excited by the prospect of this - It’ll help us to button up our own brand of rock music, experiment with new songs, perform the great classic 80’s pop and rock covers that make us laugh, and enable us to grow as a band.

We love Morrissey’s - Its true Irish hospitality (Thanks to Northern Irish partner, Paul Crilly - Whose grandfather the bar is named after) and its vibe, which is all Uptown! The fact that there’s room to enjoy the honest Irish food, imbibe the best selection of whiskey in the Twin Cities and then enjoy off kilter rock, pop, blues and acoustic music from some of the finest local Minnesota bands and singer songwriters, just makes it a fun place to proudly make our home.

Thank you again for last night’s support, thank you to Morrissey’s for hosting us and thank you to Kari Arnett for opening the night. We’ll keep you posted on our 2016 schedule as soon as we know it.
